Susan Detrick-Atchley
My name is Susan Detrick-Atchley. I have a master's degree in Social Work with a Marriage and Family Therapy certificate from the University of Georgia in preparation to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Play Therapist. Going to graduate school as a fifty-three-year-old continues to be the most fun adventure I have ever had. I am also a mom to four (almost) grown children who constantly teach me about life.
In my free time, I like to walk my dog, plant flowers, chat with my husband, read, talk to our cats, and curl up on the couch with my family. A fun fact about me is that I have taken trapeze classes at Canopy Studio in Athens for many years and I love it.
I am particularly interested in working with children and teens in creative ways, using art, popular music, role play, pretend play, writing, or anything my client would like to explore.
