Nora Blankenship, LCSW
Nora is a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) with an educational background consisting of a B.A. in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master of Social Work from The University of Georgia. She is also a certified Master Addiction Counselor (MAC).
Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Nora believes that the most effective therapeutic process involves a treatment approach catered to an individual’s specific experiences and goals.
Nora has experience working with individuals navigating substance use, trauma, grief, anxiety, and mood disorders. At the core of Nora’s work is the belief that people are incredibly resilient; her role being to help clients reconnect with their strength, make sense of past experiences and move towards a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
In her free time, Nora enjoys gardening, swimming, reading, and spending time with her family.
