Hi there! I'm Mallory, a MSW student at the UGA . Before Athens Therapy Co-op, my first practicum placement was in Clarke County Schools under a School Social Worker. In this position, I met with 10 elementary and high school students individually to discuss their emotional, behavioral, and academic goals. 

I always knew I wanted to work with children since I was a child myself. I began by teaching dance. Dance has gifted me the experience of working with kids while also helping them tackle tough moments and push through challenging steps and skills.

Children need individual attention and care to tackle big issues and grow from them. Children also learn BEST through play. In my work at Athens Therapy Co-op, I hope to create a therapeutic relationship that provides the support your child may

need to face their fears, challenge themselves, develop skills, and learn who they are. I have worked with many children with varying backgrounds, and I can't wait to see what we discover together through play therapy! 

I am currently working under the supervision of Leslie Schwartz and Leigh Ellen Magness as I complete my practicum hours and eventually become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
