Stephine Smith, LCSW, CADC II
We all face and handle the storms in our lives differently. These storms can often lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, relationships challenges, stress and trying to find ways to cope can be overwhelming. Have you found yourselves asking the same questions, how did I get here? How do I overcome these challenges and where can I go for help?
HI! My name is Stephine Smith and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides individual therapy to adults ages 18 and older. I have been married 20 years and I have one teenage son. My career started in Albany GA where I earned my Bachelors of Social in 1997 and Masters of Social Work from Valdosta State University in 2002.
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with individuals and families who were receiving care in a psychiatric hospital with disorders that ranged from mood disorders to substance use disorders. My work experience provided me the opportunity to strengthen my clinical skills as I supported individuals and their families through crises.
I came to realize we’ve all directly or indirectly been impacted by mental health or substance abuse challenges. My work is to support individuals dealing with anxiety and mood disorders, interpersonal conflict, college and work challenges, learn to cope, gain insight and explore a new normal for their lives.
