Korie Leigh
Korie Leigh, PhD, CCLS, CT, NBC-HWC, FMCHC has been a practicing board certified functional health coach, grief counselor, child life specialist, and child development expert for over 15 years. She supports children, adults, and families to navigate the complexities of illness, loss, grief, and other life transitions. Dr. Leigh also specializes in working with bereaved parents, including child related losses of miscarriage, stillbirth, termination for medical reasons, and death from illness.
Holding a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology, Dr. Leigh also received a masters degree in Public Health and Death Studies, and has multiple certifications and training in areas including creative expression, mindfulness, grief and bereavement, life coaching, and play-based therapeutic approaches. She is also a board certified health and wellness coach and works with both individuals and families to create and sustain healthy lifestyle changes, specializing in women’s health and complex chronic health conditions. Having 15 years of clinical experience, she has worked and supervised in pediatric hospitals, adult hospice, pediatric palliative and hospice care settings, and private practice.
Dr. Leigh is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at UGA and coordinates the Child Life program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
