Kahla Childers
Hi, I'm Kahla (she/they). I earned a master's in counseling from the University of North Georgia. I'm currently working under supervision towards licensure as a licensed professional counselor.
I have worked with diverse populations from birth to adulthood in a variety of settings, as a crisis counselor with The Trevor Project, a prenatal support group facilitator through Athens Parent Well-Being, a summer camp and program director for children and youth, and a middle and high school youth conference creator.
I am passionate about working with children, youth, parents, and families and I am grateful to be welcomed on your journey. I believe that all humans are worthy of love and belonging and I try to cultivate an empathetic space with room for growth and development.
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, fascinated by play and creative expression, and like to spend time reading, learning aerial arts, dancing, singing, and spending time in nature. I look forward to meeting you!
